University of Southern Indiana Men’s Cross Country improved a single spot to 12th in the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association top-25 poll, while the women remain in the top-10.

Despite the week off, the men jumped the University of Mount Olive in the third USTFCCCA top-25 poll of the season. The 12th-place ranking for the Screaming Eagles is good enough to remain third in the Midwest Region behind Grand Valley State University and Hillsdale University.

On the women side, USI dropped to seventh in the national rankings. The University of Minnesota Duluth jumped the Eagles and Hillsdale to move USI down a single spot. In the regional poll, the Eagles remain second behind the top ranked team in the country, Grand Valley.

After two weeks off, USI will return to action Friday at the Greater Louisville Classic. The women’s 5k and men’s 8k races will begin at 8 a.m. at E.P. Tom Sawyer Park in Louisville, Kentucky.
