Final Exams and Winter Break

Final exams for the University of Southern Indiana fall 2017 semester will run through Wednesday, December 13. Students can find their finals schedules online at USI.edu/registrar/classes/final-exam-schedule/. USI will be on winter break beginning Thursday, December 14. USI will close for winter recess on Saturday, December 23 and reopen on Tuesday, January 2, 2018. Classes for the spring 2018 semester will begin on Monday, January 8, 2018.

Exhibit open through Friday, December 15

New Harmony art gallery to host exhibition, High Tech/Low Tech

The New Harmony Gallery of Contemporary Art’s newest exhibition, High Tech/Low Tech by Nicole Jacquard, will open on Saturday, November 4 and run through December 15. Jacquard explores themes of nostalgia, longing and memory through the creation of souvenir like objects and personal ornamentation, such as brooches. The work in High Tech/Low Tech explores how everyday objects become precious through personal association. Read More

Annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Luncheon to feature keynote from Dr. Johnnetta Cole

Dr. Johnnetta Cole, president emerita of Spelman College and Bennett College for Women and past director of the Smithsonian National Museum of African Art, will be the keynote presenter at the University of Southern Indiana’s annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial Luncheon at 11 a.m. Monday, January 15, 2018, in Carter Hall. Tickets will be available to the public beginning today and may be purchased online or at the USI Multicultural Center, located at Room 1224 in University Center East.
