The Arts Council Hosts Recycled Art Exhibit In April

The Arts Council of Southwestern Indiana will host its second annual recycled art exhibit, Another’s Treasure, opening with a reception on April 21st, from 5 – 7 p.m. The exhibit will be on display during regular gallery hours until May 11th.

Eighteen local artists will be represented in the exhibit, with 13 more from locations as far as France. Artists are competing with each other to win monetary prizes and purchase awards totaling over $3,000, and their work will be juried by recycled material artist, Mark Rospenda.
The reception will include live entertainment from Blackwater Brass, a funk and jazz band based out of Ocean Springs, MS. Sauced will cater and provide a cash bar. The event is free and open to the public.
Another’s Treasure 2017 is sponsored by a grant awarded to the Arts Council from the Alcoa Foundation.
