Shepard Academy Students to Participate in Shepard Leadership Day

“Service to Others” is the theme of tomorrow’s leadership and building day for the students enrolled in the EVSC’s Shepard Leadership & Law Academy. All students enrolled in the program will participate tomorrow in seminars that will focus on the importance of leadership and what it means for our society. In addition, Mayor Winnecke also will discuss Evansville’s future and the need for students to be tomorrow’s leaders.
The day will begin at 8:15 with remarks from EVSC Superintendent David Smith and Mayor Winnecke. Beginning at 8:50 a.m., community organizations such as Teen Court, K9 police and the Evansville prosecutor’s office will speak to students. Leadership Evansville also will speak to students in the afternoon beginning at noon.
