Braun First Big Endorsement Of The Campaign By Fellow Outsider Tom Coburn
Conservative businessman and outsider Mike Braun announced that he earned the endorsement of former U.S. Senator Tom Coburn of Oklahoma.
Highly regarded as one of the strongest conservatives in the history of the U.S. Senate, Senator Coburn spent years fighting for the Constitution and individual liberty. Coburn became nationally known when, in 2005, he lead the charge against the infamous “Bridge to Nowhere” in Alaska against the wishes of his own party.
“I am pleased to support and endorse Mike Braun, Indiana Republican candidate for U.S. Senate. Like myself, Mike is a social & fiscal conservative who supports term limits,” said Coburn. “As a successful businessman, Mike brings the very knowledge and background that is badly needed in our U.S. Senate today. Mike’s opposition to deficit spending and pork barrel projects together with his proven leadership abilities will make him a highly effective U.S. Senator.”
“I’m beyond honored to have earned the support of one of my idols in the U.S. Senate, Tom Coburn,” said Braun. “Senator Coburn stood for everything that I will in Washington – the Constitution, cutting spending and the debt, and getting Washington out of our lives. Hoosiers know I’m the only conservative choice on the ballot and I hope they’ll make their voices heard on May 8th.”
