“READERS FORUM” MARCH 19, 2018

11

We hope that today’s “Readers Forum” will provoke honest and open dialogue concerning issues that we, as responsible citizens of this community, need to address in a rational and responsible way?

HERE IS WHATS ON OUR MIND TODAY?

We wonder why the ECHO Housing attorney, members of the ECHO Board of Directors or the Director of the DMD didn’t immediately file a police report concerning the misappropriation of agency funds that will allow the Indiana State Police to conduct a full investigation?

WHATS ON YOUR MIND TODAY?

Todays “Readers Poll” question is: Do you feel that a police report should have been filed concerning the misappropriation of ECHO Housing funds in order to allow the Indiana State Police to conduct a full investigation?

  1. Another non-profit it Evansville gets robbed by an employee. Why is this so prevalent in River City?

  2. Trump’s tweets this weekend have a significant sense of panic all over them. But more importantly, it certainly appears the legal problems he has are closing in all around him.

  3. Yes, what the former ECHO Director did is theft. A Forensic Audit needs to be conducted in order to make sure she did not use ECHO funds for other personal expenditures. Both John and Gail’s takes on the Indiana Legislature are spot on. DCS, school safety and many other major needs were “punted” into the future. While many of us appreciate Sunday liquor sales, many vital areas were left ignored at midnight. Seems the retirement celebration was the main topic on the last day. More missed opportunities!!!

  4. I don’t know what all the hub-bub is, Trump is fine according to Fox News:

    1. Fox News senior judicial analyst Andrew Napolitano explained Monday he believes the firing of FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe is “obstruction of justice.”

    2. Napolitano said he sees the firing as “reckless” and “vindictive” because McCabe is “more likely than not to be a witness” against Sessions’ boss, President Trump.

    3. “Firing him in that environment is an effort to diminish his effectiveness as a witness. What’s that called? Obstruction of justice,” said Napolitano, but adding he’s unsure if Special Counsel Robert Mueller will pursue such a case. (No worries. Mueller is a personal friend of Trump and is easily bought off by the Trump organization.)

    4. Trump attorney John Dowd said he “prays” that Rod Rosenstein will end Mueller’s investigation. Fox News’ Napolitano criticized Dowd over the statement, saying “it’s not the way a lawyer for an innocent defendant conveys the message on TV.”

    5. The Judge said he believes grand juries impaneled by Mueller will be sitting until 2019 and that the probe is nowhere near its end.

  5. Excuse me Sean. You left out the part where Napolitano outlined Trumps “collusion” with the Russians.

    • Napolitano only reviewed the charge of obstructing Justice. It appears Trump is vulnerable on obstruction and collusion.

    • Dann, you spoke too soon! He said this is nowhere near its end and going into at least 2019.

By the way. Just announced: There are “Trump dick pictures taken with Stormy Daniels” on their way into the social media realm. Meltdown.

    • Great. JUST great. Trump weiner pics are on the way with Stormy Daniels. Trump is becoming Anthony Weiner. Anthony freaking Weiner and Donald Trump weiner pics on social media.

  6. Today’s CCO awards luncheon at Tropicana was very well done! There had to be 250+ people there. Nice MC job by Brad Ellsworth and there was a fantastic turnout for very deserved Community Award winners. The introduction of Judge Shively by his step-daughter was particularly moving. Pat Shoulders still has the best hairstylist in town. Kudos to the CCO!
