“READERS FORUM” JULY 18, 2109

1

We hope that today’s “READERS FORUM” will provoke honest and open dialogue concerning issues that we, as responsible citizens of this community, need to address in a rational and responsible way.

WHAT’S ON YOUR MIND TODAY?

Todays “Readers Poll’ question is: Should the Presidents of the City Council, Vanderburgh County Commission and County Council been invited to welcome the participants of the Fastpitch Softball tournament to Vanderburgh County?

  1. When you come to Evansville you should be welcomed by the Mayor. No disprespect to the county commisioners or county council. The soft ball players are children and just want to play ball. Where will it stop? The president of city council would want to speak. Then the neighborhood presidents would want to speak. The parks and recreaction director would want to speak. Then the candidates for Mayor, city council, county council, commisioners would want to speak also.
The Mayor represents Evansville. Welcoming ceremonies especially with children should be short and sweet and to the point.
