  1. I saw in today’s paper that Bosse principal is becoming Director of Strategic Engagement. Also Harrison principal is becoming Director of Research for School Improvement. Both will be making over well over $100,000. No wonder teachers in the classroom are walking out. As a taxpayer I think we should give this money to the great classroom teachers.

    • Wonder how the job performance is going concerning BJ Walts and Alex Burton. Remember those made up jobs over at EVSC?

    • They are most likely being rotated into the higher paying jobs for a few years to increase their pensions. It is called “pension spiking” and it has been going on in school systems across the country for at least 50 years.

  2. EVSC has more admin jobs than DC. How many made up titles do they have? I think you would be shocked!! Yet, performance continues to decline. Seems to me more teaching of the basics and school safety would be better ways to spend money. It is scary to watch elementary school students be prepared to take an ISTEP test knowing the three R’s are not taught and if your child doesn’t get it, they will be left behind.

  3. Rather than having police trained volunteer teachers with access to gun safes in event of an active school shooting, one school district did something so “symbolically” left wing that the EVSC might well follow their lead:
    ………………….
“In an effort to protect students in the event of a mass shooter, a school district in Pennsylvania has “symbolically” armed its teachers — with miniature baseball bats.

The Millcreek Township School District in Erie County, Pa., recently distributed 16-inch wooden sluggers to each of its 500 or so teachers as a way to emphasize fighting back as a possible response to an active shooter, according to superintendent William Hall.

“They’re the little souvenir bats that you buy in baseball parks,” Hall told The Washington Post….

Hall said the bats will be locked away during the school day and are a “last resort” option….

He said district officials had not taken their cues from the Blue Mountain School District, also in Pennsylvania, which recently opted to provide buckets of rocks to students as a last-ditch effort to stop school shooters.

“They’re probably getting some heat, too. ‘What do you mean? You’re going to fight a shooter with a rock?’ ” Hall said. “That’s kind of a narrow-minded response. That’s really not what it’s about. Having a rock or a miniature baseball bat as opposed to nothing — well, that’s better than nothing.”

  4. Good News by Damn! I noticed the other day my Major ole bro al sharpie is alive and kickin.

As usual, more so physically than mentally.

That aside, I experienced something last weekend that made me realize how a few people can energize so many others. The Guns&Hoses event was the most attended ever, and because of the 30 exceptional people willing to win or lose for charity in front of 8,600 people, it accomplished its mandate.

Naturally I’m a partisan and was for one side. But the respect for the winners and losers, (In this event), should be universal.

    My boys match;

Check all matches out on the right side folks.

    30 winners. No losers.

The whole world could be like that. But only if grit and heart replaced money.

Any odds on that shar pie?
