Otters’ May promotions start with Opening Weekend at Bosse Field

The Evansville Otters will open their 2018 regular season this weekend at Bosse Field, which will kick off the fun-filled promotional schedule for the month of May.
The 2018 regular season promotional schedule begins with Opening Weekend as the Otters face the Washington Wild Things, starting with Opening Night on Friday. Opening Night will feature a lottery ticket giveaway to the first 1,000 fans (ages 18+), courtesy of Hoosier Lottery. Fans can stay after the game to enjoy a dazzling firework show. Opening Night festivities are presented by Hoosier Lottery and Swat Pest.
The second game of Opening Weekend on Saturday will be “Bicentennial Night at the Otters” as the community is encouraged to come take in a ballgame and help Vanderburgh County celebrate its 200th anniversary, including a postgame firework display.
Saturday is also Girl Scout Night with the Otters. Local area girl scouts can come watch the Otters play and then camp out in the outfield at Bosse Field. Pre-registration is required which includes a General Admission ticket, hot dog, chips and water, meet and greet with the team, postgame baseball clinic, and a commemorative Otters patch.
The first Family Fun Day of the season will conclude Opening Weekend on Sunday. Families can come to Bosse Field for an afternoon of baseball and take advantage of the family package deal. The package includes four General Admission tickets, four popcorn, soda and snow cone vouchers, and two inflatable passes. The Family Fun Day package is a $74 value for only $40.
After a midweek road trip, the Otters return home May 18-20 for a weekend matchup against the Normal Cornbelters. The series finale on Sunday is another Family Fun Day, providing another opportunity for families to purchase the family package deal. The game will also feature the Old National Bank Attendance Awards ceremony. Participants in the Old National Bank Attendance Awards program will go onto the field for special recognition.
Following a six-game road swing, the last home series in May for the Otters will be a two-day, three-game series May 30-31 against the Florence Freedom. The series starts on Wednesday, May 30 with a doubleheader at 5:05 p.m. The doubleheader is also Skilled Nursing Facility Night, which is presented by Deaconess Hospital, as local area nursing home residents are invited to come watch Evansville Otters baseball at Bosse Field.
The series finale on May 31 will be the first Thirsty Thursday of the season. Cold, adult drafts will be at special prices for fans to enjoy as they watch the Otters battle Florence on Thirsty Thursday.

The Evansville Otters are the 2006 and 2016 Frontier League champions. Season tickets, group outing packages, and single game tickets are on sale now for the 2018 season – including Opening Weekend May 11-13.
