  1. I’m extremely perplexed. Over the last several years leaders of our community have been promoting the theme that “E Is For Everyone.” In fact, our local businesses, political leaders, and the Chamber leadership have spent a lot of money promoting “E” Is For Everyone” over the last several years.

After reading this article it’s obvious that our leaders isn’t promoting the theme of “Buying Local”

Who is on the MAYOR’s subcommittee? Are they from Evansville or Vanderburgh County?

It also looks like almost half of the vendors on this list are from “Out of Town” and this isn’t a way to promote local businesses.

I’m beginning to wonder if we have voted on a Consolidated City/County Government since every time I turn around I see the Mayor and Steve Schaefer making comments pertaining to City and as well as County issues. It’s to the point that it seems that they are in charge of both the City and County governments alike.

A good example is that today Evansville officials announced that Amazon and Atlas
are expanding their business activities in Vanderburgh County.

All I’m hearing from the Vanderburgh County Commissioners is the sound of crickets.
