“IS IT TRUE” SEPTEMBER 13, 2019

2
We hope that today’s “IS IT TRUE” will provoke honest and open dialogue concerning issues that we, as responsible citizens of this community, need to address in a rational and responsible way?

IS IT TRUE that the Vanderburgh County Election Board just sent out Return Receipt Requested letters to around 13 local political candidates and elected officials concerning issues with their political campaign financial reports? … we were told that Mayor Winnecke was one of the 13  people receiving this letter? …we are told these letters would make an interesting article for someone in the mainstream media?

IS IT TRUE that our Ellis Park “Moles” informed us that there has been a change made in the role of executive leadership at this historic race track?  …as of yesterday, Jeff Inman assumed the responsibilities as General Manager of Ellis Park and Jeff Hall is now the Director Of Racing Operations? …we wish both gentlemen well in their new positions?
IS IT TRUE some of our readers are still wondering why the officials at EVSC hasn’t sent out a press release explaining why this security breach happened at Harrison High School?
IS IT TRUE it’s been alleged that the downtown EID (Economic Improvement District) 2020 budget proposes a $10,000 salary increase for the Executive Director?  … we are now told whoever prepared this budget may have made a mistake in posting this figure? ..we wonder what funding source for EID comes from? …we did an extensive search to locate members of the EID Board Of Directors but came up short?  …we wonder if any of our readers can tell us who are the members of the EID (Economic Improvement District) Board Of Directors?
Todays “READERS POLL” question is: Do you feel that the officials at EVSC should inform the public why did the security breach happen at Harrison High school?

  1. I can’t for second imagine that Mayor Winnecke is one of the 13. He has people that take care of his things and with all the cash the Mayor has rolling in, they will certainly do it right to avoid any bad PR.
