I went to many concerts at the Evansville Coliseum during the 1970s. My favorites were Kiss (twice on New Year’s Eve), the Eagles, Thin Lizzy, BTO and REO Speedwagon. Tickets were usually $6 and the size of the venue was perfect for Evansville. There has never been a concert scene in Evansville like there was in the 70s when the Coliseum was the favored place for up and coming bands on tour. I even played there.
I saw Black Sabbath in the late 70’s at coliseum,I’m thinking tickets were $5.50 total,no up charge like they do now ,yea I saw many a good concerts there too ,and it didn’t cost a arm and a leg
