  1. Trump Is More Loyal to Dictators Than to America

His lies about Jamal Khashoggi’s murder are a threat to national security

When the CIA catches dictators doing bad things, the dictators often pay lobbyists to lie about what’s been discovered. Now the dictators can save their money because Trump is doing their hatchet work against the CIA for free. Trump has dismissed the agency’s findings about Russian interference in the 2016 election. He has brushed off U.S. intelligence showing that North Korea is building new missiles. And he’s lying about the CIA’s assessment of a murder by the Saudi government.

In early October a Saudi hit squad assassinated and dismembered U.S. resident Jamal Khashoggi, and Trump has refused to blame or punish the Saudi leader who ordered the assasination, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. Trump kept looking “for ways to avoid pinning the blame” on MBS, even after he was “shown evidence of the prince’s involvement.” Trump made clear that his reluctance was about money. He didn’t want American companies to lose lucrative Saudi contracts.

But Trump has a problem: The CIA has the truth, and people connected to the intelligence community were revealing it. The New York Times reported that CIA Director Gina Haspel had heard audio of a phone call in which the leader of the hit squad instructed a key aide to MBS to “tell your boss” that the job was done. In an attempt to squelch the story, national security adviser John Bolton denied that the audio implicated MBS. “That’s not the conclusion that I think the people who heard it have come to” Bolton told reporters. Trump then omitted MBS from a list of Saudi officials targeted by sanctions over the killing.

So the intelligence community revealed more. On Nov. 16, the Post citing officials “familiar” with the CIA’s findings, said the agency had concluded that MBS had “ordered the assassination.” The CIA’s assessment was based on several pieces of evidence. One was the “tell your boss” call. Another was an intercepted call, reportedly at the direction of MBS, in which the crown prince’s brother (the Saudi ambassador to the U.S.) had told Khashoggi to go to the consulate, where the hit squad met him. And based on the operation’s complexity and MBS’ history of micromanagement, the CIA concluded that there was no way it could have happened without his knowledge.

Other news outlets confirmed the reporting. But Trump, instead of refusing to comment on the assessment, LIED about it.

On Nov. 17, the CIA Director briefed Trump, summarizing the evidence that had just been reported. Afterward, a reporter asked Trump “Did the CIA assess that MBS was behind it?” Trump falsely replied “They haven’t assessed anything yet”

On Nov. 20, Trump got another CIA briefing that was “delivered in physical (paper) form” and again, Trump LIED! A reporter asked him “What about the CIA assessment that the crown prince of Saudi Arabia ordered the killing of Jamal Khashoggi?” and Trump LIED saying “They didn’t make a determination, they did not make that assessment.”

Two days later, another reporter pressed Trump asking: “But the CIA concluded with confidence that MBS was responsible.” Trump disputed that claim: “They did not come to a conclusion. They have feelings certain ways, but they didn’t have the report. The CIA points it both ways”

Trump’s statements have been evasive, egregiously misleading, and outright lies.

On Tuesday CIA Director Haspel went to Capitol Hill to answer questions about Khashoggi. Tennessee Sen. Bob Corker, the Republican chairman of the Committee on Foreign Relations, emerged from the briefing with a guilty verdict: “I have zero question in my mind that the crown prince, MBS, ordered the killing, monitored the killing, knew exactly what was happening, planned it in advance. If he was in front of a jury, he would be convicted in 30 minutes.”

Trump’s perpetual dishonesty about U.S. intelligence is a threat to national security and American democracy. It’s also a manifestation of his fundamental disloyalty to the United States. Seven months ago, when Haspel was nominated to succeed Pompeo as CIA director, Virginia Sen. Mark Warner cautioned her about serving “a president who does not always seem interested in hearing, much less speaking, the truth.” Other Trump officials, Warner noted, had been “attacked for telling a truth in public that contradicts the White House narrative.”

That’s the paradox of working in Trump’s CIA. The despot you have to manage is your own boss.

      • This website about small-minded right-wingers is like breitfart. Zero credibility, and only interested in covering up Trump going to jail soon

Crap like shows the absolutely desperate lengths that the right-wing trumpsuckers will go to try and take attention away from trump and his cabal

The only blogs yammering about this crap are right-wing mouthbreathers who have ZERO credibility.

One of trumpsucker heroes is Tennessee resident Walter Fitzpatrick III, the former Navy Lt. who has the distinction of being convicted of crimes as both a member of the military (convicted and court-martialed, including derelict in the performance of duties) and as a civilian, and was sent to prison. Yeah, lots of credibility

Mueller is just the latest in a long line of government officials, judges, grand jury forepersons, and law enforcement personnel at all levels whom Fitzpatrick with his deluded mindset blames for his abject failure of a life.

It’s hilarious that the right-wingers would hold up the criminal and loser Walter Fitzpatrick as a hero while trashing Mueller. Mueller was a war hero, a successful US Attorney, Director of the FBI, and is now running an efficient and critical investigation that is exposing crime at the highest levels of government.

Fitzpatrick, on the other hand, has been convicted twice for menacing local officials because of his wrong-headed belief that he can take over his local grand jury and use it to push his personal fantasy charge that President Obama committed treason.

        Laughable and pitiful

      • If we listen to the looney right-wing and court-martialed tea party nut, then anybody can go to the grand jury and we can convict Trumpy of treason because we sure as hell have the evidence

        From Tea Party to Treason

Fitzpatrick is one of those alternate-reality Americans who believes that Barack Obama is actually one Barry Soetoro, a man who is not an American citizen and thus ineligible to serve as president. Fitzpatrick claims that since March, he has been trying to get federal prosecutors in Tennessee to bring treason charges against the president.

Fitzpatrick evidently discovered that Monroe County has rather liberal rules about grand juries. In most places, only a local prosecutor can present evidence to a grand jury and request an indictment. In Monroe County, any private citizen can show up with a petition and seek an indictment. The most common initiators of such proceedings are usually victims of robberies or assaults, however, not activists trying to unseat the president

(NOTE – He tried this crap multiple times, and was laughed out of the courthouse)

Fitzpatrick tried this once already, filing a brief in late August that read, in part:

“OBAMA-SOETORO IS MY SWORN ENEMY! – And as there were TRAITORS to Italy in Caesars day, I report to this GRAND JURY with force and authority there are senior military officers no more obedient to the CONSTITUTION than their criminal DICTATOR, OBAMA-SOETORO”

Fitzpatrick’s supporters frequently cite his status as a retired Navy lieutenant commander as proof of his integrity and patriotism. What they fail to mention is that in 1990 he was court-martialed for financial negligence and dereliction of duty, a move that essentially ended his military career.

What an absolute laughingstock to try and discredit Mueller, and anybody who believes this loon is just as big a laughingstock

  2. You just can’t make up the silly nonsense the liberal left comes up with. This may be proof positive that liberalism is a mental disorder, just like the well known Trump derangement disorder.
    …………………………
“PETA’s request to replace “anti-animal” language” in everyday conversation was met with ridicule and criticism after the animal rights group compared popular meat-related expressions to racism and homophobia.

“Just as it became unacceptable to use racist, homophobic, or ableist language, phrases that trivialize cruelty to animals will vanish as more people begin to appreciate animals for who they are and start ‘bringing home the bagels’ instead of the bacon,” PETA said Tuesday in a tweet….

In a graphic, the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals offered several alternatives to “speciesist” phrases.

Instead of “kill two birds with one stone,” say “feed two birds with one scone.” “Take the bull by the horns” should be replaced with “take the flower by the thorns” and instead of “bring home the bacon,” say “bring home the bagels”

    • wow, some serious PETA derangement syndrome. Tow attacks on a non-partisan group in a week

The terrorism in America is right and white

“PETA is nonpartisan. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, educational organization, IRS regulations prohibit us from endorsing a particular candidate or party. We work with legislators of all party affiliations and recognize the accomplishments of politicians who have helped pass laws protecting animals, regardless of their party”

How about the right-wing support of Proud Boys, KKK, Nazis, Oath Keepers and the Constitutional Sheriff’s and Peace Officers

“A Quartz analysis of the terrorism database shows that almost two-thirds of terror attacks in the (United States) last year were tied to racist, anti-Muslim, homophobic, anti-Semitic, fascist, anti-government, or xenophobic motivations”

Data shows that right-wing extremists were responsible for the majority of extremist murders in the U.S. in 2017

Radical right wing terrorism is on the rise in our great country. And since 2008, terrorist attacks on the U.S. soil carried out by right-wing extremist groups, including white supremacists, outnumber those by Islamic jihadists by two to one. That is a statistical fact.

Many Americans, including those in leadership positions, believe the dominant terrorist threat to the United States originates abroad and is motivated by an extremist interpretation of Islam. They’re wrong. The narrative that posits terrorism is primarily a tactic of foreign-born extremist Muslims is woefully and dangerously incomplete. It’s time to get our facts straight.

Right-wing white supremacist groups are growing in size, lethality and capability. While the United States spent more than a decade disrupting terrorist organizations abroad, a different threat was growing here at home. Its ambitions were different, but its tactics increasingly mirrored those being used by our adversaries in al-Qaeda, ISIS and other groups.

A study of domestic terrorism incidents from 2008 to 2016 identified 194 cases of executed and/or foiled terrorist acts. These included 115 cases of right-wing terrorism, involving deaths, injuries or property damage. Right terrorism was the LARGEST part of terrorism in America

      • Let’s see who the FBI listens to:
        ……………………………………………………………….

“Over the past year, far-right extremists bombed a mosque, shared bomb-making materials online, and descended in droves on Charlottesville last August for a rally that left one person dead and dozens injured.

But when the largest annual gathering of FBI agents convenes this weekend — FBI National Academy Associates — attendees will get an earful from someone who thinks the real threat lies with the far left.

Dale Yeager, a forensic profiler and CEO of Seraph Inc., a private consulting firm for law enforcement, has been warning American law enforcement about left-wing extremism since the 1970s. On Tuesday, Yeager will headline the conference with his keynote, “Radical Left-Wing Gangs in America,” focused on “anti-fascist, or antifa, groups and their violent actions against civilians and police agencies in the U.S. and Canada.”

In his mind, the growth of right-wing extremism is a form of fake news; it’s the left, he says, that’s the bigger danger to America. “The United States is in a Second Civil War,” Yeager told VICE News. “We are. The one thing I disagree with is that it’s a cold civil war. There’s violence. And it’s not going to get better.””

        • Really, two articles from SIX months ago?

Not only that, did you bother to even READ anything in the article, like when they refer to this supposed “expert”

His ” thesis is completely wrong. Not only are far-right extremists a major threat, but they are specifically dangerous to the very law enforcement communities that Yeager is trying to help”

          Or maybe:

“A March analysis by ThinkProgress showed that, between 2007 and 2017, at least 33 police officers were killed by individuals involved or affiliated with the FAR RIGHT. They include Neo-Nazi Richard Poplawski, who ambushed and killed three Pittsburgh police officers with an AK-47 in 2009, and Lloyd Barrus, who wounded a Montana deputy sheriff during a high-speed pursuit in 2017 before making a U-turn to head him off”

“Incidents such as the Charlottesville attack in 2017, the massacre of nine black worshipers at a South Carolina church in 2015 and numerous other thwarted plots also have the FBI on alert, despite what Yeager might profess”

And the final cherry on top is the last paragraph

“The FBI stressed that Dale Yeager’s positions are his own and are not those of the FBI or the conference”

          ROFLMAO

        • Gee, from the Vice article, we notice you stop your usual copy-n-paste hackery right before the article points out the real information:

The numbers, however, don’t square with Yeager’s version of reality. According to data analyzed by the Investigative Fund and Reveal, the number of domestic terror cases from 2008 to 2016 (both thwarted and carried out) by far-right groups dramatically outpaced those carried out by leftist or Islamist groups. Their research relied on more than 12 different sources, including FBI and public databases, and collected primary court and law enforcement documents for almost every incident.

Their report found 115 cases of far-right domestic terror during that eight-year period. A third of those cases were foiled by law enforcement, and the fatal ones left a total of 79 people dead. Meanwhile, around three-quarters of the 63 Islamist-inspired terrorism cases were foiled, and the fatal cases resulted in 90 deaths. They also counted 19 cases linked to left-wing extremists, that left seven dead.

“Groups like antifa, yes, they are a nuisance. BUT ON THE THREAT SCALE, IN TERMS OF BODY COUNT, WHITE NATIONALISTS ARE ACTUALLY KILLING PEOPLE”

“Yes, they have hurt police by throwing things, and yes, they destroy property,” said Daryl Johnson, former senior analyst for domestic terrorism at Homeland Security’s Office of Intelligence and Analysis. “But on the threat scale, in terms of body count, white nationalists are actually killing people. SO IF YOU’RE GOING TO HAVE A KEYNOTE SPEAKER TALKING ABOUT A DOMESTIC THREAT, THAT’S WHAT YOU NEED TO BE TALKING ABOUT”

It cracks me up you posted six-month-old articles and then misconstrue the entire focus of both articles to deflect from the KKK and white supremacy support by Trumpy and the right-wingers
