We hope that todays “IS IT TRUE ” will provoke “…honest and open dialogue concerning issues that we, as responsible citizens of this community, need to address in a rational and responsible way?”

IS IT TRUE last night Vanderburgh County Sheriff Dave Wedding (D) and County Councilman James Raben (R) raised money for the  Santa’s Clothes Club and Saint Vincent’s Food Pantry?  …they held an extremely successful charitable event that raised over $8,000 for Santa’s Clothes Club and Saint Vincent’s Food Pantry? …this event was held at the Oak Meadow County Club?  …we were taken back by how many people attended this fundraiser? …it was guesstimated that well over 300 plus people attended worthily charitable this event? …we must admit that we never seen so many Democrats and Republicans in one area enjoying each other and having a few drinks talking about every subject imaginable?

IS IT TRUE that the City County Observer gives five (5) cheers to Vanderburgh County Sheriff Dave Wedding (D) and County Councilman James Raben (R) for raising money for Santa’s Clothes Club and Saint Vincent’s Food Pantry? … we are glad to hear that this charitable fundraiser shall become an annual event?

IS IT TRUE we are told that the Vanderburgh County Coroner’s funds to conduct investigations of homicides for 2017 has been depleted? …it looks like rampant drug use in our region has finally taken its financial toll on the Vanderburgh County Coroner’s 2017 budget?

IS IT TRUE during last nights charitable fundraiser we observed the two Vanderburgh County Commission candidates having a positive non-political conversation?  …it’s refreshing to see two political rivals laugh and joke with each other?…we expect that Mr. Hammer and Mr. Duckworth will continue this type of positive inter-reaction during the entire campaign?

IS IT TRUE that Mike Duckworth is expected to announce that he is running for the Vanderburgh County Commission District #2 seat in the upcoming Republican primary on January 11, 2018?

IS IT TRUE we are told that Vanderburgh County Commission candidate Steve Hammer has raised $41,321 in the months of November and December?  …when we are informed on what other political candidates have raised towards their elections we will be glad to announce those figures also?

IS IT TRUE we have been told that the At-Large City Councilman Jonathan Weaver (D) may looking at a creative way to attract another grocery store to locate on North Main? …we give Mr. Weaver five (5) cheers for his effort?

IS IT TRUE we are hearing that many citizens are extremely pleased with the way District #77 State Representative Ryan Hatfield is conducting himself?

IS IT TRUE we are hearing that the two Republican County Vanderburgh Commissioners are trying to convince members of the County Council to renovate and combined both offices costing over $200,000 dollars? … members of the Vanderburgh County Council has rejected this idea so far?
