Gov. Holcomb to Attend National Governor’s Association Winter Meeting in D.C. Feb. 24 – 26

INDIANAPOLIS – Indiana Governor Eric J. Holcomb will attend the annual National Governors Association Winter Meeting in Washington D.C., Feb. 24 through Feb. 26.

While there, he and other governors will meet with the president and vice president. Gov. Holcomb will meet with federal Department of Labor Secretary Acosta to discuss Indiana’s Next Level Jobs initiative to get more Hoosiers the skills they need to secure fulfilling, good paying jobs in high demand careers. He will also meet with Veterans Affairs Secretary Shulkin to discuss the state’s Next Level Veterans partnership to attract, employ and retain more veterans around the country who are transitioning from active duty to civilian life.

Additionally, Gov. Holcomb plans to meet with foreign leaders from Australia and Canada to discuss economic development opportunities in Indiana. First Lady Janet Holcomb will join the governor for the trip and both will attend an annual dinner for governors at the White House. Finally, on Monday evening, Feb. 26, the governor will introduce Vice President Pence at a “Tribute to a Hoosier Vice President and Second Lady” hosted by the Indiana Society of Washington, D.C. at the National Museum of Women in the Arts.
