The Board of Evansville’s Future is excited to announce the appointment of Hobart Scales as Executive Director. The decision was finalized during the regular January Board meeting and became effective February 1st.
Mr. Scales is a founding member of Evansville’s Future and was the Project Manager for the hugely successful Drive-4-Five event last summer. Previously Mr. Scales was President of Red Dog Political, a political consulting company engaging in state and local elections. He brings with him over 14 years of political consulting and public policy experience including as field manager for the Indiana House Republican Campaign Committee, Field Manager for Congressman Dan Burton, GOTV Director for Indianapolis Mayor Greg Ballard, and current board member of the Vanderburgh County Redevelopment Authority.
“I’m excited to assume this role.” Scales said in a statement to the Board. “I hope to bring several areas of competence and expertise to an organization dedicated to improving the southwestern corner of our great State. I consider it a great honor to bring my knowledge, proven work ethic, and political skill to the Committee so that together we can continue to advance the vision of making our region a place to work, live, and grow a business.”
