Obama and Kerry trying to lift sanctions on Iran and legitimize their nuclear weapons program, while the radical Islamist Iranian’s are boarding cargo ships in the gulf and taking the crews prisoners. Back home, inner-city rioting, looting and arson in Baltimore and Ferguson (for those who don’t want to drive to Baltimore to loot ). Threats to kill white police officers in major cities. Presidential leadership matters, and lack of leadership by the Community Organizer-in-Chief is leading to these crisis.

The President has already performed his duty on what went on in Ferguson Missouri a while back. You forgot to mention that President Obama’s administration performed a thorough audit of the Ferguson Police Dept and the Mayor and Police Chief and several Police Officers resigned over that and progress was being made. The Governor of Missouri is in charge there not the President. The streets in Ferguson Missouri belong to the Mayor and the city and the State’s Governor needs to call the National Guard Back out if that’s what’s needed to quell the disturbances. Surely you are not TRYING AGAIN to stupidly suggest that the President of the United States get involved and call out the 101st AirBorn Division over something that the Missouri National Guard and the Ferguson Police and County Police can handle themselves?

Iranian guard vessels grab US Flagged Commercial Ship in the Straits of Hormouth and the US does nothing but monitor the situation with air planes. The Republican Guard forced the commercial shipi deeper into Iranian Waters in the area. The US destroyer was notified with a distress signal but was 60 miles away and could not reppond to the event in time.

The USN Vincennes was patrolling the Straights when they though that they were being targeted by what they thought was a Iranian F14. We gave the Shaw of Iran many F14’s for their air force and the Iranians still had these after they attacked our Embassy in Iran and kidnapped all of our US diplomats and held them hostage for almost a year in total. God only knows what those US Diplomats went though So without any diplomatic relations with the Ayatollah and his Iranian Republican Guards making attacks on our ships near the Straights of Hormuz, it was almost inevitable that some thing was going to happen. We apologized for the mistake and paid reparations to the peoples’ families that were killed by the shooting down of that civilian airliner. But one must always remember what it was like back in those days. This was not done intentionally and it was a mistake. We all make mistakes from time to time. This was a pretty big one. But when you consider that on RADAR a F14 and a Commercial Jet that’s flying straight at the US Ship’s radar are hard to tell apart. And even back them the F14 had weapons that radars that could easily have sunk the Vincennes with one missile. It’s a situation where there is little time to make the right decision. And I’m sure that the people on the navy ship were under duress as they had been harassed by multiple Iranian War Ships just hours before the shooting occurred. It takes some time to get the stress hormones out of the blood stream and to calm down after a fight.

Another GOP State Bill to fight transparency and make it cost more money to find and see and get public records from the State.
If it takes over two hours to find the records requested then the requesting party has to pay $20/hr to search for the requested records. How blatantly NON TRANSPARENT is that?
This reminds me of the laws the GOP passes to make it harder for older people who don’t drive anymore to vote. Voter Suppression. And It makes me wonder why they are after the Schools and what they are doing to try to keep poor people from getting a better education. It’s ok to spend money on the Rich Children who attend CHARTER Schools. It’s ok to give the Rich people money so that they can send their children to a Private school. Vouchers is what they call it these days.

My father is a retired history teacher, so I have a passion for the subject. He taught me REAL American history not just the whitewashed glossed over version.
Our country has done some truly remarkable and great things, we have also done some truly horrific things.
As long as we continue to slap ourselves on the back and tell ourselves how great we are and horrible those “other” people are ie confront our dark side, we can never become the great nation we aspire to be.

Some times you catch more bees with a little honey than with a fly swatter. Harness the bees and let them make honey for us to eat. The bees don’t normally sting people unless you mess with them or their hive where they raise their young. They are not that much different than most animals. You do your thing and I’ll do mine. The problem with the middle east is that we the West are always trying to control them over there and they don’t like it much. Just as we would not like it if they came over here and tried to control what we do and say.
