1. Request approval to accept a laptop from Red Spot Paint & Varnish Co. to be used for Community Risk Reduction & Fire Prevention Presentations.

New Tech Institute requests approval for the “NTI 5K Thunderbolt Flight” on October 14th, 2017 from 8:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Closing Career Ave from Lynch Road to Venture Drive; Venture Drive from Career Ave to Maxx Road; Maxx Road from Lynch Rd to Venture Drive. ***PENDING INSURANCE APPROVAL***
  2. cMoe requests approval for “Corporate Recess” on October 23rd, 2017 from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Closing 5th from alleyway to Locust Street or Locust Street from 5th to entrance of KDDK parking lot, all depending on construction. ***BARRICADES REQUESTED, PENDING POLICE APPROVAL, PENDING INSURANCE APPROVAL***

    Amended Road Closing due to construction: Closing alleyway to Main Street from 5th Street.

  3. Greater Lincolnshire Neighborhood Association requests approval for the “Lincolnshire 2017 Front Porch Festival” on October 1st, 2017 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Closing Bayard Park Drive from College Hwy to Lodge Ave; South Willow Road from Bellemeade Ave to Bayard Park Drive. ***BARRICADES REQUESTED, PENDING INSURANCE APPROVAL, PENDING POLICE DEPARTMENT APPROVAL***
  4. Harrison Instrumental Music Boosters requests approval for the “Harrison Instrumental Music Invitational” on September 30th, 2017 from noon until 10:00 p.m. Closing the north bound lane of Cullen Ave adjacent to Harrison High School from the Lloyd Expressway, south to where the blvd ends. ***BARRICADES REQUESTED, PENDING INSURANCE APPROVAL, PENDING POLICE APPROVAL***

  1. Central Instrumental Music Boosters requests approval for the “Central High School Regionals Marching Band” on October 14th, 2017 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. Closing Old Post Road from Barry Lane to First Ave. ***BARRICADES REQUESTED, PENDING POLICE APPROVAL***
  2. Greater Evansville Media LLC requests approval for the “Evansville Taco Festival” on October 14th, 2017 from noon to 7:00 p.m. Closing Locust Street from MLK Jr Blvd. to SE 9th Street. Approved 8-9-2017 Amending Date of Road Closure: Request approval to close the above said road beginning October 13th, 2017 from 9:00 a.m. until October 15th, 2017 at 5:00 p.m. Organizer of event was advised to contact the Evansville Vanderburgh County Building Authority to notify them of the parking spaces not available along Locust for that day.

Consent Section:

  1. Road Closure
    1. Hardkour Ninja Unlimited requests approval to close the alley next to 116 E Franklin Street to utilize the space for food trucks for the grand re-opening event on September 23rd, 2017 from 2-7 p.m.
    2. Nicholas Funke, Klenck Company, requests approval to close the northbound lane by 421 NW Riverside Drive from October 2nd, 2017 to October 13th, 2017 for a new concrete curb and gutter, new asphalt patch abutting the curb, topsoil, landscaping and signs installed facing Riverside Drive.
    3. Craig Eckert, Skanska, requests approval to close 6th Street between Walnut and Chestnut Street from September 18th, 2017 through September 22nd, 2017 to run the fire line water pipe that connects to the fire pump room. This work is for the Med School project.
    4. The Evansville Police Department request approval to close 9th Street between Walnut & Locust on September 27th, 2017 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. for Junior Achievement Day for the parking of buses.
