Holli Sullivan Announces Candidacy for Indiana House District 78

holliHolli Sullivan is announcing her candidacy to be the next representative for Indiana House District 78.

“We have been very fortunate to have had the leadership of Suzanne Crouch for the last 8 years and I plan to continue that leadership for the citizens of HD 78,” said Sullivan.

Sullivan has a history in public service. Sullivan is a 2010 graduate of the Richard G Lugar Excellence in Public Service Series. She founded and served as President of the political group Women Right of Center which has been active in providing information to the voting public on issues and candidates. She has served on a local level as a member of the Vanderburgh County Central Committee and the Minority Women’s Business Enterprise Board. Holli has also served on a state level as a member of the Joint Workforce Investment Board.

“Our next state representative will need to be someone that can hit the ground running, both as a legislator and a candidate. My strong work ethic, relationships with current legislators and ability to work with others to resolve problems will be essential to representing our district this year. I am also well suited to run a strong campaign in the fall as I have served on the election committees of numerous local and state candidates,” said Sullivan.

Sullivan is a graduate of Castle High School and currently lives on the north side of Evansville with her husband Chad and her three children, Dalton, Savannah and Sawyer. Holli and her family are members of Family Bible Church. Holli, an Industrial Engineer, worked for General Motors and Toyota and most recently as a consultant for the University of Southern Indiana’s Center for Applied Research.

Beyond the blonde hair and wholesome good looks, it’s the pearls. They are bog standard fare for the conservative female politician, and most liberal ones too, come to think of it. There must be an unwritten rule somewhere about pearls and politicians.

Strike that. One google search later and I find the rule is written: http://articles.timesofindia.indiatimes.com/2009-06-02/shows/28162911_1_pearl-necklace-dress-jewellery-designer

Don’t be scared by attractive intelligent women. Once you start to be around them regularly, your fear will fade.

The pretty blondes like you see on fox news get handed everything in life, so naturally they can’t identify with people who’ve had to work hard for everything.

Attractive is subjective. Fake blonde and orange skin isn’t considered attractive in my book.

Oh my God Holli works for USI as a Consultant. Looks like we have a conflict of interest here! Is Wayne Parke going to sign off on her petition to run for this seat even if she has an obvious conflict of interest?

She must be sharp because they don’t hand out Industrial Engineering degrees like Obama phones. Good real life work background. Ms. Sullivan is an impressive candidate.

Where was your concern with Pat Bauer? House Speaker with his kush 200k job with IVYTECH? or odd headed Kreg Battles and his employment with the Vincennes/Knox school district to name a few.

I read the other day that Democrats were already ‘eyeing’ the 78th. All your horrid jokes aside, the fact of the matter is this: If the caucus chooses Holli to serve the citizens of the 78th, then the Democrats won’t stand a chance next time around.

Hoosiers NEED her voice and leadership in Indianapolis. God willing, we will have it.

Yes I’m sure she will do an outstanding job of following the republican agenda to a T. Taking away the rights of minorities, teachers, women, LGBT, union members and any others that stand in the way of rich, white, “christian” republicans.

She’ll work hard on demonizing and dogging the poor, handing out tax cuts to the rich and connected, rigging the public school grading system to make sure it can be privatized and making sure Indiana remains one of the most polluted states in the union. She wouldn’t want those poor corporations and CEO’s to have to pay for their own economic externalities.
