JD Strouth gave the following statement at his filing for Vanderburgh County Clerk on Monday:
I want to thank everyone for coming out today to show your support for my candidacy. It is people like you who make Southwestern Indiana thrive through your selfless service to our area. I appreciate knowing that many of you also serve in your church’s ministries, in your child’s or grandchild’s school PTA, in leadership in Scouting or other organization for children, through service on non-profit boards, or through other political campaigns. Several of you have supported me in my previous two big campaigns. In my campaign for State Representative in 2008, the year of the Obama tsunami, we got 44.2% of the vote, which was the highest percentage of any Republican challenger to Dennis Avery in his 18 terms in office. Last year in my campaign for City Clerk against a 16-year incumbent, we got 45.4% in our city where Democrats easily outnumber Republicans. Thanks for supporting me in this new county-wide effort to succeed Susan Kirk as our County Clerk! Thankfully, Democrats and Republicans are fairly balanced throughout Vanderburgh County.
While earning the rank of Eagle Scout many years ago, I permanently had instilled in me the desire to serve others. My motivation to serve as Vanderburgh County Clerk is to ensure we have clean and smooth elections. If elected County Clerk, I will vigorously fight voter fraud and actively promote our new Vote Centers. I will also look for efficiencies in the court system that will provide convenience to the users and a cost savings to the taxpayer. I think I have the organization and communication skills, attention to detail, character and leadership to successfully perform the duties of County Clerk. I envision also teaching others who want to know about how county government works and would be available to answer questions about elections or the court system.
Thank you again for coming out today!

If you’re like I am and are sick and tired of seeing dead people vote in every election vote for JD. Enough is enough!
You actually witnessed a dead person voting?!? Was this in Haiti?
