GOP Chairman Wayne Parke Calls For MusgraveTo Resign?

11

Yesterday afternoon we learned that Vanderburgh County GOP party Chairman Wayne Parke demanded that County Commissioner Cheryl Musgrave resign her position.

In an e-mail statement he sent to Commissioner Musgrave Mr. Parke stated “that he doesn’t believe that Commissioner Musgrave isn’t performing her County Commissioner responsibilities in the best interest of the Vanderburgh County citizens”  He also stated that ” Vanderburgh County needs people in office that unite-not a divider who has their own personal agenda.”

Parke concluded that in his own judgement that Mrs. Musgrave “has lost her credibility and trustworthiness to effectively serve as a County Commissioner.”

This is a developing story.

FOOTNOTE: We just posted ‘Readers Poll” question:: Do you feel that County Commissioner Cheryl Musgrave should heed GOP Chairman Wayne Parke call for her to resign?

  1. Has Wayne Parke had a stroke? Or does he feel emulating the Great Orange Buffoon is becoming to his image?

  2. Talk about personal agenda. ‘Ol Wayne got his arse handed to him in the Primary when Musgrave whooped his anointed candidate and he’s still smarting from that rebuff.
If anyone needs to resign it’s Parke. He’s responsible for Winnecke and ‘Lil Lloyd isn’t he?

  3. Disappointed in Cheryl over Burdette, but this Parke,s endorsement s a positive for her.

  4. The buffoonery of Vanderburgh politics continues. This is starting to emulate a bad mid-season replacement comedy on CW. Until a group of folks decide to get out of their chairs and toss all the establishment party ancients out and nourish a real two party political atmosphere in Vanderburgh county, the Evansville swamp will devour all of the vitality from the area.
    Now, back to my breakfast.

  5. Parke is a fool and a failure. He is angry because Cheryl does a great job and is respected by many people, both on a local and State level. Parke only supports sycophants like himself. His number of mistakes are legion. He is the one who should resign in disgrace

  6. Sure, Cheryl has her moments, but she processes a very high level of intelligence. While on the Evansville Redevelopment Commission she informed the Council of the many developing backroom deals unlike what the Council now has as their appointees, such as Wheeler (the special interest group leader, the UNIONS) and of course the other, slum lord appointed by Weaver the Weasel who by the way had previously listed the dude’s properties. Danks has old Yeller and the Weasel (Dems) and Park has Cheryl. It’s not a perfect world, Wayne!!!!

  7. Must we continue to speculate
    or can anyone report on:
Why Ms Musgrave advised her party co-commissioner, Mr Ungethiem, to NOT attend the meeting held to fire Burdette Park’s manager and
What she has on/with the dem Mr Shoulders?

    • I, too, have wondered how Mr. Ungethiem has not been called to task for his part in the Burdette Park fiasco. It would appear to those who thought he would be a new type of politician, which was his campaign theme, he has practiced the old bait and switch. It’s apparent he has slid right into the good ole’ boy establishment.

  8. Get her out of there.
I also have heard she hired an Indianapolis marketing company for the County Commission. And that it just so happens her daughter works at that firm. Isn’t that a conflict of interest? And isn’t that what she accused Joe Kiefer of doing? IS IT TRUE? Find out.

  9. If it is in fact true that Cheryl and the county council hired an Indy marketing firm … hat would be extremely disappointing. As the owner of a local marketing firm, there is nothing “magical” about an out-of-town firm … there is nothing the council needs to “communicate” that could not be handled by a competent, Evansville firm. If it is true that her daughter works for that firm, then it would seem to be a clear conflict of interest. I’d like to know the facts before jumping to any conclusions though.
